Expressed in a few words: Hardly anywhere in Austria you experience better food than at the “Obauer’s”. Or more detailed: For their delicious culinary creations the brothers were besides others awarded with 4 chef hats by “Gault Millau”, 5 crowns at the gourmet guide “A la Carte” as well as with 2 stars by “The Michelin Guide”.  Already since 1979 Karl and Rudi Obauer operate their restaurant in Werfen – and until today their food creations are considered to be interesting and trend-setting. The art of cooking of the Obauer’s is characterized by regional products, artisan principles and the open view of harmonizing flavors from around the world. All this is demonstrated by exploring the well-known classic dishes of the house: trout strudel, cat-fish with roasted potatoes “Austrian” style or lamb “Werfener” style - as well as in sensational new creations.
