Free Summer Promenade Concerts

This summer again, every evening from 2 to 27 July 2014 Innsbruck offers its free Promenade Concerts to all its visitors and guests. 30 string and brass orchestras will present open-air performances at the central courtyard of Innsbruck’s Imperial Palace. A great number of them will march in through the main boulevard Maria-Theresien-Street and down-town Innsbruck to the Imperial Palace, the nostalgic charm of which provides the perfect setting for these annual concerts.

Haydn Festival in Eisenstadt

A quaint rural town 45 minutes southeast of Vienna, Eisenstadt is the capital of Burgenland province, known for its outstanding red wines, sunny climate and sweeping landscapes. But as the hometown of Joseph Haydn, classical music giant and court composer for the local Esterházy princes, the town also draws top musical talent from all over the world. The highlight of the year is the world renowned Haydn Festival every September.
