Feuersbrunn

The rich Austrian culinary tradition exhibits Bohemian, Hungarian, Italian, Jewish, French and Southern Slavic influences. The best place to learn to cook Austrian specialties is at the Mörwald Cooking School in Feuersbrunn just south of Vienna.

The star chef, Toni Mörwald teaches the most important cooking techniques and creative tricks for preparing an enchanting Austrian dinner party. The culinary theme is arranged in advance to meet your dietary needs, preferences, and the season. A favorite choice is the classic Viennese Tafelspitz with apple-horseradish relish and chive sauce to creamed spinach and fried potatoes. Each seminar ends with a shared dinner paired with Austrian wine followed by espresso and brandy.

If you like to stay overnight, you can rent a room at the adjacent Villa Katarina with its comfortable and charming rooms. Each rooms is individually designed to match the great Austrian grape varieties and gives you a great introduction to the various Austrian wine regions.
