Bizarre Gorges in the Ötscher-Tormäuer Nature Park
The Tormäuer Nature Park is a paradise for hikers and nature lovers and offers a great number of unique natural sights: the bizarre gorges, the crystal-clear creeks and the roaring Trefflingfall, Lassingfall and Mirafall waterfalls stand in stark contrast to the peaceful pasture lands of the Hochbärneck mountain. Attractions for kids include an adventure village, a playground with climbing tower, a hill slide and water toys. Highly recommended is a visit to the Ötscher stalactite caves which is accessible via a new trail. Guided tours of this fascinating underground world are available.

Eisenwurzen Nature Park
The lower Austrian region of Eisenwurzen is located in the border triangle of Upper Austria, Styria and Lower Austria. This low mountain range distinguishes itself through the remains of primeval forests, densely wooded gorges, romantic pastures and little forest moors with an abundance of flowers. The main village, Hollenstein/Ybbs, is characterized by its long cultural development based on the interplay between iron, wood and water.
