Kunsthaus Bregenz

From the outside the Kunsthaus acts as luminary. Depending on weather conditions, point of view and position of the sun, the building reflects light and color and reveals parts of its interior.

Modern art and architecture fuse at Kunsthaus Bregenz. Designed by the Swiss architect Peter Zumthor, the building’s primary object is to be a place where people can indulge their passion for art. The new complex occupies a solitary yet self-confident position in the center of Bregenz and near the shorelines of Lake Constance.

The KUB was opened in 1997 and focuses on applied arts, architecture and design. The glass cube also accommodates a museum shop and a café.

The construction was awarded several great architecture prizes. Guided tours and special programs for kids are offered.
