Holiday region Hohe Salve

For the young & young at heart! 90 lifts & 250 km of perfectly groomed pistes - Austria's largest connected ski area - welcomes you to an excellent ski vacation with everything you need to relax and have fun!

With new investments in snowmaking machines the Holiday region is amongst the top resorts in terms of snow security. And to make the most out of the thus perfectly prepared slopes brings three additional lit slopes for "night owls".

For newcomers... The village of Hopfgarten lies at the sunny foot of the Hohe Salve Mountain in the eastern part of the Tyrol, thus easily reachable from Innsbruck or Munich airport.

Here you will not meet loads of tourists, but will find a lively village that has kept its identity with old wooden houses, small village streets, and locals who greet each and every guest with genuine hospitality. That said, this does not mean that there is nothing going on here - quite the contrary!
The resort is renowed for its party scene - on and off the mountain - which is also one of the reasons why many Australians join a Contiki trip to come here and experience true Tyrolean skiing first hand in a resort that offers excellent value in every respect.

If you travel Austria without a car, the holiday region and its main town Hopfgarten are just the place to go. Public transport is excellently developed. In addition, winter here is not just about skiing. Join one of the theme walks - as leisurly or strenuous as you please - or try yourself on the lit toboggan run which from this year onwards has its own snow making machines - just in case.
