Passenger Identity Screening Regulations at Boarding
Due to increased security requirements new EU Identity Screening Regulations oblige all passengers to present a valid photo identification upon check-in and at boarding. This is to verify the ID of the passenger against the name on the boarding pass and to make sure that passengers comply with all immigration requirements regarding passports/visas in order to avoid inconveniences at the travel destination. For flights within Austria passengers may present a photographic driving license. A valid passport and/or citizen card is necessary for all international flights to Schengen and Non-Schengen countries.
Arrival from foreign countries / International Airports
The following airports have international connections:
Wien-Schwechat, Graz, Innsbruck, Klagenfurt, Linz and Salzburg.
There are daily internal flights between these airports.

In only 16 minutes the City Airport Train takes passengers non-stop from the City Air Terminal at Wien-Mitte to Vienna International Airport. The
Check-in services at the Wien-Mitte railway station in the City Air Terminal are available daily from 5.00 am to 11.00 pm for all Star Alliance flights (Austrian Airlines Group, Lufthansa, etc.) from 24 hours up to 75 minutes before departure. You will also receive your boarding card here. Your airline customer service representative can provide information on the exact check-in times and conditions of check in of bulky luggage or flights to the USA.

Bus services between airport and Süd- respectively Westbahnhof (the two main train stations) as well as Schwedenplatz in the city centre are operated by Vienna Airport Lines.
