Kneipp Treatment in Austria
Kneipp treatment is based on a fivefold approach:
Hydrotherapy = Treatment with water at graduated temperatures from cold to hot.
Motion therapy = Movement as a comprehensive programme also achieving beneficial psychological effects.
Phytotherapy = Treatment with medicinal plants.
Whole food nutrition = Sufficient intake of all the substances needed by the body (vitamins, trace elements, dietary fibres etc.).
Ordinal therapy = A health-oriented lifestyle extending to social and psychological factors.
To become a member of the "Austrian Kneipp Association" and the "Austrian Spa Association" and to qualify for official recognition, a facility has to meet a number of basic requirements.
