Live Like An Eskimo

Did you know that temperatures never drop below zero inside an igloo? Even when it’s freezing -50°C outside? Learn more about this at the Igloo Building Seminar.

www.inuitadventures.at

From December to April INUIT offers igloo building seminars during which you learn to build snow homes according to old Inuit techniques and traditions. Seminar venues include Feuerkogel/Ebensee in Upper Austria and Bürgeralpe/Mariazell in Styria.

Igloo building is not really an “everyday skill” and this although the snow domes have many advantages over a tent: insulation is better, it’s sturdy even in storms, and there is no condensation built-up as the snow walls immediately absorb the humidity. This way your sleeping bag and clothes will stay dry.

INUIT offers igloo-building seminars from December to April where you learn to build igloos according to old Inuit techniques and traditions. Seminar venues are: Feuerkogel/Ebensee in Upper Austria and Bürgeralpe/Mariazell in Styria.
