Feldsee, Kaernten

Carinthia

Feldsee/Brennsee
This picturesque lake is located at 739m above sea level, embedded between the gentle hilltops of the Mirnock and the Wöllaner Nock, and is a welcome place to cool off after a hike. Every August, the idyllic town of Feld am See, situated on the lake’s shoers, plays host to Carinthia’s largest Fish Fest.

Pirkdorfer See
This natural lake nestles at the foot of Petzen Mountain and offers a variety of outdoor activities including swimming, walking and cycling. Those with a creative bent can join a Pottery Workshop at Werkhof.

Längsee
The ultimate in water fun is guaranteed with Carinthia’s longest water slide (102m)! The lake also as a playground, a volleyball field and there is a sports pool for lap swimming. Idyllic Lake Längsee also offers quiet spots for sun bathing and enjoying the out of doors.

Upper Austria



Oberinnviertler Seenplatte
The “Oberinnviertler Seenplatte” comprises three moor lakes and 350 million m² of woods and is Europe’s largest sphagnum bog as well as a unique nature and bird reserve. The region is beautifully set amid peatlands, lush pastures and shady forests offering some truly breathtaking scenery. Lake Holzöstersee: size - 0.07 km², depth: 7m Tiefe; Lake Höllerersee: size – 0.17km², depth: 34m, Lake Heratinger/Ibmersee: size – 0.25km², depth: 4m.

Rosenhofer Teich
This natural moor lake is located amid a verdant forest between Sandl and Karlstift. Admission is free!

Gleinkersee
Lake Gleinkersee is perfect for swimming, sunbathing, relaxing and daydreaming. The lake, which is conveniently located in the heart of the lovely Pyhrn-Priel Region, offers warm (18° to 25°C) and crystal-clear water and is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike.

SalzburgerLand



Prebersee
Situated in the Lungau, the SalzburgerLand’s southernmost region, this idyllic moor lake offers superb scenery and all kinds of rare plants. Thanks to its location at 1000m above sea level, the ten meter deep lake provides a refreshing respite from the summer. The traditional "Preberschießen" (water target shooting) is a unique event that attracts visitors from near and far.

Hintersee
This small lake is located near the famous Wolfgangsee and Fuschlsee lakes and is perfect for romantics in search of peace and quiet. Lake Hintersee is only 1.7km long and 700m wide and has a max. depth of 22 meters. Snack stations along the shores serve food and drinks.

Uttendorfer Erlebnis-Badesee
This paradise for kids offers a floating diving platform, a floating iceberg with lianas for climbing + swinging fun, spacious playgrounds, and Pirates’ Boat. Other facilities include a beach volleyball field, an inline skating park, ping pong tables and outdoor chess. The café’s sundeck is a popular place to enjoy an ice-cream, relax and bask in sun.

Vilsalpsee
Vilsalpsee in Tannheim nestles amid a magnificent nature reserve and is one of Tirol’s most beautiful lakes. Swimming is free, but the water temperature does not rise above 17°C even on the hottest of summer days.

Fernsteinsee
Emerald-green Lake Fernsteinsee is located at 936m above sea level in Nassereith and has a max. depth of 70m. It is regarded as one of the Alp’s prettiest lakes and offers scuba diving, swimming and pedal boating. Motorboats are prohibited. Water quality: grade A.

Vorarlberg



Seewaldsee
Green, quiet, deep and warm: this is Seewaldsee in Fontanella in the Großes Walsertal biosphere park. The lake is about an hour’s walk from the parking lot in Fontanella or you can take the slow train. The lake nestles in a hollow and is surrounded by colorful meadows and luxuriant forests. Nearby is a charming inn offering tasty food and snacks. The romantic lake developed some 10,000 years ago from meltwater of the Ice age glaciers. Despite its high altitude at 1200m above sea level, the lake has a pleasant temperature.

"Alvier-Bad"
The 1400m² “Alvier Bad” lake & bathing complex is located in the mountain village of Brand and offers grade A water which is organically filtered and purified through thousands of water plant roots. The water is heated using an environmentally sound method. Facilities include a large sunbathing area, a restaurant with sundeck, a beach volleyball court and ping pong tables. There is a large Kiddy Play Area with and adventure playground, BBQ facilities, a climbing tower and three different pools that are all fed with natural spring water and linked with water chutes which lead to a rafting channel and then a larger lake.

Weiermoarteich
This romantic pond is embedded amid the magnificent Seckauer Alps and offers well-maintained lawns and a new floating island for a relaxed day out.

Grasluppteiche
Idyllic swimming fishing waters in the Grebenzen Nature Park. Size: 3.6ha; Facilities: large wooden jetty for sunbathing, grassy sunbathing area, snack station, floating island, sanitary facilities. The 8000ha Nature Park also offers a variety of beautiful trails for walkers and cyclists.

Ödensee, Ausseerland-Salzkammergut
This pretty moor lake with its vegetated shores nestles amid a forest near Pichl-Kainisch. The lake is easily accessible by bicycle (R 19) or car (parking lot at Kohlröserlhütte).

Lower Austria



Lunzer See
The 1,6km long and 500m wide Lunzer See is Lower Austria’s only natural lake. Max. depth: 34m; water quality: grade A quality.
4000m² grounds with lawn for sunbathing, diving platform, paddling pool for kids, ping pong tables, buffet, rowing and pedal boats for rent, and a stage for cultural events.

Burgenland




Badesee Rechnitz
Embedded in the scenic Geschriebenstein Nature Park you are invited to take a relaxing swim right amid the Günser Mountain range, the Rechnitz Mountains and shady forests of outstanding natural beauty. The 5-hectare lake features a campsite, a snack bar, an island, a children’s playground, an inline skating park, a beach volleyball field, and a water slide.

Rauchwarter Badesee
A perfect lake for swimming fans and windsurfing enthusiasts. The shores are quite flat and therefore suitable for families and lovers of water sports. Facilities include a children’s playground, a swimming area for kids with water slide, a beautiful campsite offering electricity, cable-TV sockets and pitches for caravans, cars, tents. Sanitary amenities: washing machine, tumble dryer, hairdryer, diaper changing facilities for babies, snack bar, shop at approx. 300m from the lake.
