Nature Parks in Styria

Realm of Legends: South-Styrian Wine Land
From Kitzeck, Europe’s highest wine-growing region, via Eichberg with its vista point to Gamlitz on the South-Styrian WineRoute: in this region lush vineyards, orchards, hop fields and chestnut forests combine to create a charming manmade landscape. The South-Styrian Nature Park is a “realm of legends” in which each vineyard, each building and each person has its own story to tell – stories which are documented in numerous museums. Those interested will find plenty of stories and information at the Heimschuh pumpkinseed oil museum, the Kitzeck wine museum, at Schloss Gamlitz, the Großklein Hallstatt museum, the Frauenberg temple museum or the Flavia Solva excavation site in Wagna. On 2 to 3-hour long, guided walks you will get to know the local flora and fauna. Also available: a 3-day tour in the “realm of legends”.
