World Soccer Fanclub Trophy in Seefeld, June 13 - 15, 2008

The Seefeld Olympic Region is not only known as a center of Nordic Skiing in winter, but also as a popular training place for numerous first-grade European soccer teams in the summer months. Among others, the national team of the Czech Republic appreciates the advantages of Seefeld. The Czech kickers are having their base camp in Seefeld during the European Championship.

During the European Championship, football enthusiasts also have the opportunity to prove their soccer skills. The 1st World Soccer Fanclub Trophy is planned to take place in June, 2008. This event should then take place every year. In addition to the varied fringe program, the winning teams will also be awarded prize money.

3 well-kept soccer fields in Seefeld and Leutasch as well as the renowned hotels and guesthouses of the Seefeld Olympic Region are perfectly suited for the fan clubs of the various football teams to spend a pleasurable weekend in or around Seefeld. The live broadcastings of the matches of the European Championship will also attract many fans to Seefeld.

All registered fan clubs of a team of the various national associations are allowed to participate.

Soccer Training Week for kids and youngsters aged between 6 and 15 years in the Stubaital valley. Hans Dorfer, the former soccer pro of the Bayern München football club and the 1st Nürnberg football club as well as member of the German national soccer team and now head of the Hans Dorfner soccer school, is organizing a 5-day football camp in the Stubaital valley in cooperation with the Stubai Tirol tourist association.
