A tennis holiday with a difference in Brand, Austria
Pure Alpine Holidays, the UK’s leading tennis & ski holiday operator (www.purealpineholidays.co.uk), is delighted to announce a fantastic new holiday opportunity for summer 2008: the chance to improve your tennis in the beautiful mountain resort of Brand in Austria, with two former UK tennis professionals, Lorna Woodruff and Karen Cross.
Karen Cross – Has extensive experience gained from playing on the WTA tour and had a British ranking No. 2 and world ranking No. 134. She has played at Wimbledon for 8 years and became the first British woman in 21 years to reach 3rd round at Wimbledon
Lorna Woodroffe – Has competed in all the Grand Slam events reaching highest British Ranking No. 2 and world ranking of No. 133 in singles and No. 69 in doubles. She represented Great Britain in the 2000 Sydney Olympics and competed 10 times in at Wimbledon from the age of 16.
The holiday, from 9 - 16 August 2008 will include a tennis programme specially designed by Lorna and Karen, and coaching will be in small groups of only four players per coach, with additional free court time, a fabulous Pimms & Strudel “Olympics” tournament and prize giving. All levels of player will be catered for (including children) and non-players will additionally find excellent facilities and exciting things on offer in Brand including spa treatments, swimming, horse riding, walking and golf.
Brand is a beautiful and unspoilt all-season resort in the Vorarlberg region, within easy reach from Zurich and Friedrichshafen airports.
Guests will stay in the fantastic 4* Hotel Valavier where they will enjoy a warm welcome, the hotel’s superb location, fantastic views, great food, a rooftop pool, sun terrace, spa centre, games room, gift shop and child care facilities.
Prices for one week range from £799 per person and include 7 nights three quarter board accommodation including buffet breakfast, midday snack and five course evening meal; welcome drink; welcome pack; airport transfer; host escort from the UK; holiday “PA” service in resort; pro tennis coaching; free court time; tournament & prize giving; Pimms & Strudel “Olympics” tournament and prize giving; après tennis activities and a picnic on the mountain.
