Roving Ambassador of Linz09

Upper Austrian musician Hubert von Goisern is Linz09’s goodwill ambassador. His two-year concert tour is an undertaking of extraordinary dimensions.

A European adventure: Hubert von Goisern is taking his act on the river road between the Black Sea and the North Sea. As roving goodwill ambassador of Europe’s 2009 Capital of Culture, with Linz as his home port. A small flotilla of ships will serve as a floating stage and provide quarters for the whole tour crew. The guest list includes artists from all the countries the Linz Europe Tour will be passing through.

In 2007, the journey went east to the Danube Delta. In 2008, Hubert von Goisern is taking the river roads west with Rotterdam as his final destination. In 2009 a multi-day Harbour Festival in the European Capital of Culture Linz will unite all the artistic collaborators from east and west in a very special concert experience.
