What`s free in Salzburg?

Make sure to take a walk through Salzburg’s Botanical Garden, visit Castle Mirabell and Castle Hellbrunn as well as the beautiful gardens and parklands surrounding them.

For a bit of culture, make your way to the Mozarteum where you can delve into a collection of film, picture and audio material comprising more than 24,000 recordings and copies relating to Mozart’s work.

A unique museum is the the Red Bull - Aircraft Museum featuring a combination of aircraft hangar, art gallery, catering and adventure. www.hangar-7.com

Numerous events around the year are free of charge: If you are in Salzburg during the Salzburg Festival, between end of July and end of August, you can enjoy the warm summer nights while watching and listening to concerts which are broadcasted on a huge screen on Salzburg Residenz Square

For some folk music, head to the picturesque Mirabell Garden to listen to the Salzburg Brass Bands concerts every Wednesday, Sunday and on public holidays between 1 May and end of August.
