Events & Attractions

Innsbruck and it's surrounding offers great sites and cultural events. Pay a visit to the famed Swarovski Crystal Worlds or just simply stroll around the old town.

Schloss Ambras, Innsbruck
Visit Ambras Castle near Innsbruck

Innsbruck offers a great variety of events and attractions. Walk through old town Innsbruck and see the golden roof, take a ride up the newly renovated Bergisel Skijump-Tower or take a leisure drive to Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens.

During your stay we suggest to visit the following attractions:
Swarovski Crystal Worlds
One of the most entchanting places only a few minutes outside of Innsbruck. The Swarovksi Crystal Worlds provide a magical experience. Inside the "giant", subterranean Chambers of Wonder present a facetted display of crystalline colors and shapes.

The new Bergisel Ski-Jump Tower
The new ski-jump at the historic Bergisel mountain rises majestically into the air towering over the Olympic city of Innsbruck. In order to enjoy a 360 degree panoramic view you can either climb the 255 steps or take a short elevator ride to the top of the tower.

Mythos Bergisel - Kaiserjaegermuseum
About 200 years ago the freedom loving Tyroleans successfully fought for their cause under their inspirational leader, Andres Hofer.
Today, the heroes of this popular modern high-performance sport venture into the heavens above the ski jump and soar 130 metres into the depths far below.

Castle Ambras
Perched high above Innsbruck, Ambras Castle can be seen for miles around and is one of the most important sights of the capital of Tirol. Its historic-cultural significance is inseparably linked to the personality of Archduke Ferdinand II (1529-1595), a genuine Renaissance prince who promoted the arts and sciences.

Court church
The church houses the cenotaph of Emporer Maximilian I. 28 larger-than-life bronze statues of the Emperor's relatives and ancestors flank the monumental tomb and splendid marble reliefs depicting scenes from Maximilian's life decorate the sarcophargus.

Alpine Zoo
More than 2000 Alpine animals of 150 species from the entire region of the Alps invite you to a rewarding visit in Europe's highest zoo.
