Visit the Wien Museum and Musician's Memorials (free entry on Friday mornings and on Sundays), the Museum of Applied Arts (free admission on Saturdays) or the Central Cemetary, with 2.5 million graves Europe’s biggest cemetery.
Vienna’s gardens and parks invite you to enjoy nature, bike, skate or simply relax. The most picturesque gardens and parks are the garden of Schönbrunn Palace, the Prater and its recreational area, the garden of Belvedere Palace, the Vienna Woods and Vienna’s most famous recreation area: the Danube Island.
Public Transport in Vienna is free for kids on Sundays, public holidays and during Christmas holidays (between 24 Dec and 6 Jan) as well as summer school holidays (July & August).
Also enjoy Vienna’s best events such as the Danube Island Festival (in June, on the Danube Island), the Life Ball (in May, the event inside the ball rooms are for ticket holders only, however there are also big celebrations in the City Hall square), the Rainbow Parade as well as the New Year’s Eve Trail.
