Art into the City!

The O.K Center for Contemporary Art and Linz09 are jointly producing a major three-part exhibition. Linz09’s first curated project was launched in 2007 with the staging of “Schaurausch–Viewing Spree,” an exhibition that transformed downtown Linz into an alfresco art gallery and filled shop windows, display cases and façades with installations, objects and performances. The series continues in 2008 with a descent into subterranean Linz. The theme: “Stream of Forgetting.” The locations: cellars, tunnels and caves beneath the surface of the city. The third part entitled “So Close to Heaven” follows in 2009, when the OK’s artists will ascend to the rooftops of Linz.
