Jewel of the Alps & Imperator Train

This tour combines the best of the Alpine region of Austria with its imperial capitol, Vienna. Highlights of this tour are 3 spectacular train rides to Lake Achen, Zell am See, and from Vienna to the famous vineyards of Wachau.


Your 7 night tour begins with a stay in lovely Kitzbuehel, a world famous winter and summer resort. During your stay in Kitzbuehel, you will experience a fascinating train ride from Kitzbuehel to Jenbach on a stream cog railway. Enjoy a relaxing cruise on the sparkling waters of Lake Achen. Continue to Vienna, first aboard the nostalgic Gisela train through the hills to Zell am See. This historic train dates back to the time when the Royal Imperial Mail carriage was built, around 1910. You will have time to explore charming Zell am See before continuing to Vienna. During your stay in historic Vienna, you will enjoy a city tour with an inside visit to the impressive Schoenbrunn Palace.
