For over 25 years, Schubertiade has been mastering the seemingly impossible: maintaining intimacy and being the world’s most important Schubert festival at the same time.
With the Markus-Sittikus Hall having been renovated in 2005, the Schubertiade has returned to its place of origin, Hohenems, after a 15-year break. The nearby Schwarzenberg Palace established itself in the Bregrenz forest as a second fixed Schubertiade venue. Surrounded by lush meadows, vast forests and a rocky mountain backdrop stands the simple timber of the Angelika Kauffmann hall in a 1700-strong community, which, in addition to the Mozart Hall of the Vienna Concert Hall and the Salzburg Mozarteum, is considered one of the three best chamber music halls in Austria.

The landscape, small and larger hikes and encountering the world's best song vocals create the special magic of the Schubertiade. Chamber concerts and recitals are another focus. The programme is complemented by individual orchestral concerts, recitals and masterclasses.
