    Sölden

... is the venue of the Alpine Ski World Cup and one of Europe's most renowned ski and snowboard resorts. The astounding number of downhills for all levels and abilities, coupled with the perfect grooming of 90 miles (144 km) of slopes make Sölden a one-of-a-kind winter sports center.

Sölden boasts the marvelous BIG 3 vantage points - lookouts from the area's three tallest mountains. These snow-covered giants earn Sölden the status of being Austria's only ski area with 3 mountains that tower above 3,000 meters, or 9,842 feet.

Snow is guaranteed from October through May thanks to the high Alpine location (4,429 ft - 10,958 ft / 1,350 m - 3,340 m), two glacier ski areas at Rettenbach & Tiefenbach, and artificial snow-making systems covering more than 77% of downhills.

Over 30 huts and mountain restaurants open their doors to visitors with menus full of hearty Alpine fare and regional specialties. Rustic mountain huts, trendy umbrella bars, and gourmet restaurants cater to suit all tastes.
