Leogang in Salzburg
Did you know that it has been scientifically proven that you sleep more deeply, soundly and restfully in a wood-panelled room? Why? Because the heart beats slower and quieter. For this reason Hotel Forsthofalm was constructed entirely out of wood.
The timber hotel is a hideaway at 1050 meters high above Leogang in the Salzburg Province. The solid wood walls are completely free of metal and glue, held together by over 210 wooden dowels and are thus organic. However, Hotel Forsthofalm is more than just a wooden hotel, it is a harmonious blend of modern architecture, cuisine, wellness and nature. The spacious rooms are furnished in a modern design and some even have their own drinking fountain. The heated rooftop pool offers a stunning 360-degrees panorama view of the surrounding mountains. The wellness treatments in the SPAnorama use Alpine herbs, which are freshly picked in spring and summer and then refined for the different treatments.
The hotel’s motto, “Freedom in Nature”, is not only reflected in the wellness area, but also in the kitchen, where regionality is the focus of the dishes. The centre of the Kukka Restaurant is the open kitchen with a charcoal grill and the bread baking room. Simply sit back and enjoy the Alm Lounge; relax by the open fire to the pleasant lounge music.
