Active and Varied

The morning in Brandnertal is a time of pleasant anticipation. What will today bring? Will we take a dip in a pond and spend the rest of the day gloriously lazing around on a sun lounger? Will we put on our walking boots, hike through lush meadows to a local farm and help feed the cows? Or will we feel the rush of adrenaline as we dart down a trail at the region’s largest bike park?

However you decide to spend the day – one thing’s for sure: Back home, later on, you and your family will think back on it and remember it with joy. And perhaps, you and your loved ones will soon find yourselves returning.

This is How to Make Brandnertal Yours:

At Brandnertal, you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to your summer holiday. That’s why it’s easy to have an experience here that’s custom-made for you. Look below for our sample itinerary – then pick and swap out activities to make it yours!

Our Itinerary

Morning: Natursprünge Path

Your children are carefully balancing on top of an old tree that has fallen over, and proudly call for you to look. Next stop: examining the cool mountain stream and whatever creatures live in it. On the Natursprünge Path with its interactive stations, families can experience the forests first-hand.

Or Alternatively…

In the small hours of the day, you start your sunrise trek up to Mondspitze peak at 2,000 m. The effort – and the early wake-up time – are worth it: When you reach the summit and see a pale red sun rise over the mountains, you will forget everything else for a moment.

Afternoon: White-Knuckle Biking Adventure

You have lunch at Rufana Alp, a picturesque mountain hut with top-notch local cuisine.

After lunch, you decide to do something that your kids have wanted to try for ages – and, secretly, so have you: At nearby Brandnertal Bike Park, the lot of you get on your mountain bikes, and take a guided taster course on the feeling of pure freedom.

Or Alternatively…

Want to see the region’s very own mini-Stonehenge? Hike up to Tschengla High Plateau – or drive to the nearby car park – and circumambulate the Neolithic stone circles.
You can explore the high plateau further by taking one of three tours with the Tschengla Express – a tiny train pulled by tractor. How about visiting a real-life witch’s cottage on the Fairytale Tour, for instance?

Evening: Gourmet Dinner in the Mountains

Torches light the way to a unique evening: High up in the mountains, at Frööd Restaurant, a gourmet dinner is waiting for you. Under thousands of stars, surrounded by your favourite people, you end the day with laughter.

Or Alternatively…

At Genusserlebnis Brandnertal (“Brandnertal Indulgence”), five different chefs – four from Brandnertal itself plus a guest chef – serve you a specially created, five-course menu.
