Morning: Sunrise Hike on Mohnenfluh Mountain

Nothing quite beats that moment when you reach the summit with the sun slowly making its way over the horizon. Take the 3-hour sunrise hike up Mohnenfluh mountain to experience it for yourself, then stop in at a mountain hut for a hearty, traditional breakfast.

Or Alternatively…

Only accessible by cable car and on skis in winter, the village of Oberlech is quite literally a breath of fresh air. When you go hiking around here, you might encounter an Alpine ibex, a chamois – or something completely different: Designed by US artist James Turrell, Skyspace Lech is an artwork-slash-building in the hills of Oberlech. Its windows and open roof interact with the sunlight and the sky, making for an especially cool experience during sunrise and sunset.

Afternoon: Swim in the Forest

For lunch, sit and relax on the sunny terrace of one of the many restaurants around Lech Zürs. Beautiful mountain views and fresh mountain air are complimentary.

Then, spend the afternoon at Lech’s Forest Swimming Pool – a pool that’s literally set in the middle of a lush forest a.k.a. the perfect place to cool down in summer.

Or Alternatively…

Take advantage of all the benefits of the Lech Card (from £ 20* for 2 days): The children’s adventure programme lets kids experience a different activity each day of the week, be it archery, canyoning, or rock climbing.

Or you can explore the mountain trails atop an e-mountain bike, with guided tours taking place every Thursday.

Evening: Dine in Style

When it comes to dinner, you’re well taken care of here. How about preparing your own dinner at one of the public barbecue areas?

Seems like too much work for you? No problem: Dubbed a World Gourmet Village, Lech Zürs is home to many top chefs with a knack for blending international and regional cuisines.

Or Alternatively…

Get dressed to the nines and enjoy a night out at one of the area’s many events. Classical music festivals? Check. Pop and rock concerts featuring Austrian and international stars? Yep. Literature and philosophy days? Lech Zürs am Arlberg has got it all.
