The Dachstein Sky Walk
has been called "the most spectacular outlook platform in the Alps"
. Situated at 2700m and constructed at the edge of a 250m vertical cliff of the Hunerkogel, it has the most outstanding panoramic 360-degree view of the southern wall of the mighty Dachstein mountain and some of the most beautiful summits in the Alps
. Just a few steps away from the Sky Walk you will also find the spectacular suspension bridge
and the "stairway to nothingness"
Big 3, Sölden
From Sölden in Ötztal, you have easy access to three surrounding peaks above 3000m
- the so-called Big 3
. On two of them, viewing platforms have been erected, which give sight to an infinite number of peaks in the surrounding mountains.
Top of Tyrol, Stubai
Glacier Summit platforms usually offer a spectacular view, but the Stubai Glacier
took this one step further with its Top of Tyrol
viewing platform, suspended in air and accentuating the image of the mountain.
Gipfelwelt 3000, Kitzsteinhorn

5fingers, Dachstein Salzkammergut
This spectacular viewing platform reaches out like a hand over a 400m drop. By stepping out onto one of the 5fingers
(the five platforms), each in a different design, you can put your head for heights to the test and enjoy unique views over Hallstatt, Lake Hallstatt and the inner Salzkammergut region.
The Coral on the Steinplatte
Near the village of Waidring in the Tirolean Pillersee Tal, you will find the so-called Coral
viewing platform. It hovers nearly 70m above the abyss, taking the shape of a coral. Thanks to the composition of the branches, even the faint-hearted can take a step out. They are non-transparent and thus provide a firm ground to stand on. The more daring, however, can take a walk across the large-meshed grid between the branches, risking a peek through the completely transparent glass surfaces. That will make those adrenaline levels rocket - to 1600m to be precise!
Airrofan Sky Glider and Adlerhorst Viewing Platform, Achensee
A giant viewing platform is enthroned on the Gschöllkopf at 2039m - the Adlerhorst
. Shaped like an eagle's nest it provides a 360° panorama
of the Achensee
, Karwendel mountains, Zillertal Alps and to the lower Inntal. Those craving an adrenaline rush can take it a step further and get airborne on the Airrofan Sky Glider, reaching speeds of 85 km/hr.
