Hotel Das Triest

Description

Once a staging post on the horse-drawn mail coach route between Vienna and Trieste, today Das Triest is an outstanding hotel combining history with contemporary-yet-timeless interior design. In 1995, the hotel opened as the first design hotel in Vienna. Originally planned by famous architect Sir Terence Conran, the hotel was expanded in 2018 with additional rooms and suites by Wehdorn Architects. Das Triest offers a warm atmosphere with long-standing employees who create that characteristic feeling of intimacy. The hotel also features exclusively designed furniture by well-known international and local designers. Highlights are the beautiful Mediterranean inner courtyard and the stunning views over the city or the gardens from your hotel room.

Your Host
Das Triest is family-owned, and is run by dedicated director Oliver Dzijan who has been with the hotel since 2001. He and his team are welcoming hosts through and through and live by the motto "Your home away from home."

Concierge Recommendation

With its 120 booths and restaurants, the open-air Naschmarkt market is a meeting area popular for all age groups and only 300 metres from the hotel. The culinary offers are diverse: find Viennese, Vietnamese, Italian, Indian or Thai cooking and various booths that offer fish and meat, fruits and vegetables, as well as herbs and spices.
