Queer Guided Tour Through Salzburg

It's going to be a colorful affair at this guided tour of Salzburg. Where did Georg Trakl find inspiration for his poems? Where did Emperor Franz Josef's gay brother find happpiness? And where does Salzburg's gay and lesbian community meet nowadays?

Queer Quided Tour Through Salzburg

With a guided tour by Austria Guide Roman Forisch you'll see Salzburg, the city of Mozart, from its most colorful side. The Alte Markt street, for example was called Ludwig-Viktor Square until 1927 after Emperor Franz Josef's gay brother. Why the Archduke had to move to Salzburg is just one of the things you'll learn on a guided tour with LGBTQIA focus - and of course there are lots of recent stories and anecdotes from one of Austria's cultural hotspots. You'll visit sites from the life of poet Georg Takl, the former pleasure garden of Archbishop Wolf Dietrich, the hottest current hangouts, as well as stumbling stones that commemmorate the gay victims of the Nazi regime.
