Snow & Alpine Awareness Camps
SAAC basic camps
are free 2-day camps that provide background information and tips on how to stay safe when going off piste. Camps start in the afternoon with a three hour theory block. On the second day, you form small groups and go off-piste with certified ski and mountain guides from the area. Also free of charge are avalanche transceivers, shovels and detectors. To participate, you must be a skier or snowboarder, at least 14 years of age, with intermediate abilities when skiing of piste. Please make sure that you register early enough as places are limited.
