Transport Options to Austria's Mountains

Getting from the arrivals hall to the slopes of Innsbruck is quick and convenient, with ground transportation options for all budgets. Shuttle buses take you directly from either one of Munich's two terminals to Austria's mountains.

  • Train transfer: Train connections to the Alps depart every hour from the central railway station in Munich. Take the S-Bahn train from the terminals to your train!
  • Rental car: Of course there is always the option of renting a car at the airport and departing on a self-guided mountain adventure. Even in winter the roads are safe and well-taken-care-of, so you will arrive in Austria without hassle. Just make sure to enquire about Austria's toll sticker at the car rental - they are located between Terminals 1 and 2.
