Within a surface area of 6,8 square kilometers nestles Tirol’s largest nature lake like an emerald green rug into the Achental valley. The fjord-like Achensee with an average water temperature of 19 degrees Celsius is accessible from all sides and well-known for its beautiful public beaches in Eben and Pertisau. Also sailors, surfers and scuba divers will find the perfect conditions there.

Around the lake there is a lot to be explored. You may play golf, take the Karwendel cable car up the high mountains or take a nostalgic ride with the oldest operating steam locomotive with a sprocket track railway.

Those who would like to stay in this area longer may discover the remarkable ASI-Lodge: fascinating architecture with huge windows where frontiers of inside and outside completely disappear, adventure trips and alpine wellness are offered and transform the Tyrolean mountain area in a little piece of heaven.
