The Sattlerhof wine estate is a pioneering operation
in southern Styria. Year after year, the wines of Willi Sattler number among the best in the land. Yet wine alone is not enough. Thus, his brother Hannes opened the Sattlerhof Restaurant more than twenty years ago, which in 1990 was the first restaurant in the region to be awarded a Gault Millau toque. The idea has remained the same: creative yet down-home cuisine at a high level as the perfect complement to the wines of the Sattlerhof vineyards
. That combination succeeds with amazing constancy. What’s more, ever since the Sattlers have built a charming ensemble of guest house buildings
on the Sernauberg hillside, you can stand back and admire an overall work of art. As far as the restaurant itself is concerned, the range covers solid inn fare, where on weekends you can get a pot of soup or a Sunday roast
