Loisium-Hotel
Our recommendations

Ultra-modern architecture and exceptional wellness offers in one of Austria’s oldest wine regions: this is a winning concept, as the 4-star Superior Hotel Loisium in Langenlois demonstrates.

Langenlois

First a gentle peeling treatment with grape seeds, followed by a relaxing barrique bath in a wine-barrel bathtub, and then perhaps finishing off with a revitalizing soap-brush massage? The Loisium Hotel’s Aveda Wine Spa specializes in wellness treatments that are based on grapes, wine, and vines. It is thus no surprise that the magazine “Wienerin” called this innovative spa “one of Europe’s fifty most beautiful wellness oases”.

But health and relaxation is not limited to the wellness area of this extravagant hotel. The eight-two rooms with their open baths and stylishly modern interiors ensure the highest level of pleasure and have been the recipient of numerous awards. In 2006, for example, the Loisium was presented with the European Hotel Design Award. But this is also not surprising: after all, the designer of this architectural sculpture set in the vineyards of Langenlois was none other than the celebrated American architect Steven Holl!

Our tip for visitors who have only a few hours to spend at the Loisium and perhaps want to work in a round of golf at the nearby 36-hole course: the Aveda Wine Spa is also open to day guests by prior appointment.
