Vienna:

Salzburg:

Styria

Tirol
Neuwirt Located in the Hotel Schwarzer Adler in one of Austria's most famous ski resorts: Kitzbuehel.
Paznauner Stube This fantastic restaurant offers deluxe cuisine in Ischgl at the Hotel Trofana.

Vorarlberg
Hospiz This is probably THE dining experience in Austria's Alps. The restaurant located in Lech am Arlberg also houses a 600 year old wine cellar (a fabulous stone cellar dating back to 1386.)
Griggeler Stuba Based at the top ski resort Oberlech, the Griggeler Stubba takes cooking with local herbs to different heights.

Burgenland
Taubenkobel In Schuetzen, about 1 hour south of Vienna andclose to Lake Neusiedl, this Relaix & Chateau restaurant features amazing high-end (yet local) cuisine.
Gut Purbach Located in the old town of Purbach, where one finds the quadrangular courtyard of the manor, comprising of the oldest tavern, the adjoining office and the district jail.

Upper Austria:
Wagnerei In Linz' old town, this cosy restaurant features traditional cuisine in a classy setting.
Freisitz Roith Located in a castle on the idylic Traunsee in Upper Austria's lake region, this restaurant not only offers fantastic food, but also a great view of the lake.
Tanglberg This is certainly off the beaten path and is worth stopping on your way to Salzburg from Linz.
