ÖBB - Austrian Railways Discount Card

VORTEILScard
..has been the best way to save money on rail journeys for many years. All varieties of the VORTEILScard are valid for a year and give you a 45% discount on the standard fare. The VORTEILScard can be obtained at all major Austrian train stations – all you need is a passport and a photo. ÖBB - Austrian Railways offers an additional 5% price reduction on Internet bookings!

With a VORTEILScard you also qualify for discounts on bicycle hire, sleeper cars, “Reisebüro am Bahnhof” (travel and ticket agency at the train station), the Schafbergbahn and many more.

VORTEILScard Family
Children under 15, in the company of at least one parent or grandparent, travel free of charge with the VORTEILScard Family. Just one of the parents has to be a VORTEILScard Classic holder.
This card costs £14.30 and can be purchased at all major train stations or at the Deutsche Bahn UK Booking Centre.

VORTEILScard <26
With this photocard, travellers under 26 get a 45% discount on all rail journeys within Austria.
Price: £14.30

VORTEILScard Senior
Women over 60 and men over 65 will receive a 45% discount on all rail and many bus journeys within Austria. Price: £19.40

DB Rail Card
With a DB BahnCard or a RAILPLUS Card, travellers receive a 25% price reduction on crossborder DB and ÖBB routes. Prices for BarnCard 25:
1st class: £76.30
2nd class: £38.20

Families travel for less
When travelling in the company of their parents/grandparents, children up to 16 travel free on journeys from Austria to Germany or Switzerland (only on main line routes). In addition, the BahnCard offers great discounts for families with children, the BahnCard offers great discounts! Just one adult must possess a BahnCard, the other adult and all children (up to the age of 17) can purchase an additional BahnCard for just £3.60 each. Furthermore, every member of the family can travel individually and still take advantage of all discounts offered by the BahnCard 25 Scheme.

InterRail Austria Pass (valid for 1 month)
The ideal pass for long-distance and independent travel. Valid for 3, 4, 6 or 8 non-consecutive days of travel within a month. Prices vary in price from country to country and are available for most European countries. The InterRail Austria Pass costs £78.50 for 3 days of travel. Young people up to 26 pay only £51.10.

SparPrice 50 Europe
Price reductions of 50% for direct journeys between Germany and Austria! In addition, Deutsche Bahn German Railways - DB offer a price reduction of up to 50% for between 2 and 5 travel companions.
Owners of a DB BahnCard or a VORTEILScard with RAILPLUS will receive a further 25% price reduction on their train ticket on cross-border journeys.
Terms and conditions:

- Purchase of ticket at least 3 days in advance
- Fixed date and train
- Minimum price for a 2nd class ticket for the first person without a BahnCard is £21.60 and £32.40 for a 1st class ticket.

TEE-Rail Alliance
..is a co-operation between German Rail (DB), Swiss Railways (SBB) and Austrian Railways (ÖBB). Owners of a BahnCard or VORTEILScard receive a 25% discount on journeys between Austria, Germany or Switzerland. This price reduction can be used in conjunction with further discounts on SparPrice 25 Europe and the SparPrice travel companion fares.

TEE-City Star-Ticket
Explore European cities with a 25% discount. Alone - or even better - with the family or in a group of up to 5 people, as there is an additional 20% saving for each extra person. The TEE-City Star-Ticket is available for travel from Austria to Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Denmark.
Holders of a VORTEILScard profit from a further 25% reduction.

CityNightLine – CNL
CityNightLine is the night travel train that offers all modern conveniences on 7 routes which connect Holland and Germany with Austria and Switzerland (no direct train service from the UK to Austria).
