Resourceful Bregenzerwald

Mountains, pastures, forests and 22 quaint little villages - a  "typical alpine region" one would believe. Upon their first visit, however, travellers to the Bregenzerwald will be surprised at what this laid-back valley has to offer. It is, in fact, a genuine hotbed of novel ideas, aesthetic and functional design, conveying a sense of perfection, an amazing blend of traditional and contemporary architecture, innovative craftsmanship, fine dining and a string of cultural events

The Werkraum Bregenzerwald in Andelsbuch showcases the work of local craftspeople. Numerous hiking trails lead to glorious lookouts and, not to be missed, the Moor Walk lets you in on the secrets of a moor. Take an individual or guided themed walk across the Krumbach moors, past architect-designed residences and establishments that welcome hikers to rest for a while. The innkeepers in Krumbach use plants that grow in the moors to spice up their dishes and drinks such as moor lemonade, with special themed dinners during the moor weeks in spring and autumn.
