Rolling across the Snow

For a moonlit ride across snowy meadows, book a nighttime Segway tour in the Tyrolean Serfaus.

The Segway is a "standing scooter" which is steered by shifting your weight to the front or back. The dynamic handlebar helps you turn corners and even perform elegant pirouettes in the snow. Broad, chunky tyres ensure off-road and snow mobility, and except for a quiet whirring and whoops of laughter among the riders, the world's first self-balancing human transporter is virtually noiseless.

The region of Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis in Tirol offers Segway-Trekking where the fun begins on an obstacle course that gives you the chance to practise your moves. Left and right turns, circles, tackling uneven ground, working your way up steep slopes – once you've mastered these initial challenges, you're ready to venture out into the open country and demonstrate your new skills.

Those who feel confident enough to venture out on a Segway by night should not miss the chance to join one of the nighttime tours. A unique opportunity to cover some distance in the beautiful Tyrolean region under the stars.
