Vienna’s Giant Ferris Wheel

Vienna's historic and most romantic place for a marriage proposal. If that’s not in your travel plans, you’ll enjoy the magnificent view with a few less butterflies in your stomach.

The Prater in Vienna

Historic, charming, legendary. This is how the Viennese like to describe their Giant Ferris Wheel, one of Vienna's most famous landmarks and one of the oldest ferris wheels in the world.

Standing below this monumental wheel imparts the feeling of lost times, telling the stories of Vienna's past, when noblemen invited their ladies for a romantic ride. Luckily, this experience is not lost, but more alive today than ever before. Beside the classic rides,  privately rent  a wagon in the style of 1897 or a luxury wagon called "Jubiläumswaggon" (anniversary wagon), and enjoy a romantic gourmet dinner with your loved one, or as many Viennese like to do, propose to your beloved. As soon as you reach the top - at 213 feet - sunset-drunken views over Vienna's rooftops open up and toasting with a glass of Champagne make this experience beyond comparison; and hopefully bring a 'yes'.
