Kitzbühel - Winter Holidays the Austrian Way

In Tirol's Kitzbühel nature, sports and lifestyle meet in a fairy-tale-like winter wonderland.

Gliding over freshly-groomed slopes or freeriding on powder snow: In Kitzbühel, skiing has been an essential part of the locals' lives for more than 130 years. Kitzbühel is home to the first high Alpine ski run (dating back to 1893) and the legendary Hahnenkamm races where Dave Ryding became the first Briton to win the Alpine skiing World Cup in 2022. From the end of October to early May, the resort is all about skiing and snowboarding. And the best part? You can start your adventure right from the historic town centre - the Hahnenkammbahn is only a 3-minute-walk away!

But skiing on and off the slopes is just half the fun! Kitzbühel is also a mecca for foodies, thanks to its more than 60 huts and mountain restaurants, serving everything from local delights to high-class international cuisine. And then there are the top-notch spas, the winter hiking trails, and the shopping streets. Work your muscles in the mornings, then enjoy the bright sides of life away from the slopes.
