By plane:
The closest airports are Salzburg (64 km), Innsbruck (99 km), and Munich, Germany (161 km).

By train/bus:
There are direct trains from Salzburg (2 h – 2 h 15 min) and Innsbruck (1 h 15 min – 1 h 50 min). If you come in via Munich, you have to change trains in Wörgl (2h).

By car:
From Salzburg: Take the motorway A1 or A10 to Salzburg West exit or Bad Reichenhall exit (A8), then road 21 (D) via Lofer and road 178.

From Innsbruck: Take the Inntal motorway A12, exit at Wörgl Ost, then follow the road 178.

From Munich: Take the Inntal motorway A12, then Kufstein Süd, via Eiberg (173), then follow the road 178.

• Grander Schupf

  Right at the middle station of the Eichenhof lifts at 1,000, a popular meet up place for skiers and hikers alike.

• Stanglalm

  This hut celebrates its 100th birthday! Beloved for its homemade and local delicacies including various strudel variations.

• Angerer Alm

  Home to the highest wine cellar in the Kitzbühel Alps (up to 6,000 bottles from 400 international wineries).

• Fischbachalm

  Right in the Wilder Kaiser nature reserve in the Kaiserbach valley.

St. Johann in Tirol is exceptionally family-friendly - think snowman building, snowball fights, tobogganing - all this and more awaits you on a winter family holiday here. Families with young children are especially well looked after in the smaller ski areas of Erpfendorf and Kirchdorf, where little ones can learn to ski at their own pace and with plenty of fun. In Kirchdorf and St. Johann, you'll even find three practice areas, which are free of charge. Your kids will love the company of the regions' mascot and its lucky charm, the little yeti, Yappy Yapadu.

After a day on slopes, enjoy splashing around in the Panorama Badewelt; they offer an indoor pool with a slide, and a sauna area to warm up. Bad weather? Head to Murmi's Indoor Playground in Kirchdorf, suitable for children aged 2-10.
