    1. A towering experience above the capital

Opened in 1964, the Danube Tower stands as an iconic landmark and popular attraction for locals and tourists alike. With a total height of 252 m / 826 ft, it is still the highest building in Austria today. Its renovation in 2018-2019 further cemented its status as a modern marvel, enhancing the visitor experience while preserving its 1960s charm.

Your journey to the top of the Danube Tower begins in the lobby, where intriguing stories and riddles about the tower's history await. As you ascend in the elevator, equipped with a viewing window, you can witness the building's inner structure on your way to the summit.

Step out onto the observation deck at 150 m / 492 ft and immerse yourself in the spectacular 360-degree panoramic view of Vienna – on clear days, even well beyond. Should the weather gods not be so kind, you can still enjoy the panoramic views from the enclosed indoor terrace, which is open throughout the year regardless of the weather conditions.

    2. An adrenaline rush with a view

Experience the ultimate thrill on Europe's highest slide! From a staggering height of 165 m / 540 ft, brave visitors can glide down the 40-m / 130-ft transparent slide to the viewing platform at 150 m / 492 ft. In just 7–9 seconds of sliding, you could reach speeds of up to 18 km/h / 11 mph, all while gliding past the city's stunning views. Recently installed, this artwork adds a new dimension to the iconic Viennese landmark and guarantees an unforgettable high-altitude experience.

    3. Culinary delights of the highest level

Elevate your experience at the rotating Turm Restaurant or Turm Café on the top levels of the tower while enjoying the view of the city slowly passing by. Indulge in Austrian cuisine with creative twists and fine wines at the restaurant, or opt for a Kaisergugelhupf or apple strudel at the beautiful cafe styled in the spirit of the 1960s.

On the ground floor, Donaubräu Brewery offers creatively crafted beers and Austrian classics, ready to be enjoyed in their spacious garden or pavilion-like restaurant hall.

    4. Calm back down at Donaupark or Old Danube

Unwind amidst nature in the surrounding Donaupark, a green oasis perfect for relaxation and leisurely strolls. Or make your way to the nearby Old Danube, a serene arm of the Danube River, offering tranquil waters ideal for swimming, boating, and leisurely walks.
