Christmas Market in the Volksgarten
The fairyland figures at the Christmas Market in the Volksgarten do not only enchant children but also adults, making this the traditional family market. In addition, you will find a wide selection of gifts and local delicacies. A highlight is the nativity play. Every 30 minutes from 3 – 8 pm, there is a short performance with special effects and a classical music soundtrack.

Christmas in Steyr
Should you be staying in Linz, then the nearby town of Steyr is well worth a visit for the Old Town Christmas Market, the nearby Promenade Christmas Market and the Christkindl Pilgrimage Church. One of Austria's small historic towns, Steyr is a harmonious symbiosis of a past rich in tradition and a pulsating modern lifestyle. Only 50 minutes by train from Linz, it is also very easy to get to.
