Innsbruck, three times host city of the Winter Olympic Games, is home of the world’s first combined artificial ice track, a course on which all bobsled, luge and skeleton competitions are held. It’s here, where world records are broken and international events like the bobsled and luge World Cup take place.
While staying in Innsbruck don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime experience: dare-devils from the age of 12 years upwards can enjoy this truly Olympic experience themselves. Visitor’s bob is your key to a rapid 9,950 feet or 900-meter long track with 10 curves and altitude variances of 330 feet or 100 meters.
However, the ultimate challenge awaits all those who want to step into the footsteps of previous medalists and Olympic veterans and fly down the course in an original Olympic race bobsled. A qualified pilot and a brakeman will accompany two guests per ride down the 4,170 feet or 1,270-meter long track featuring 14 awe-inspiring curves. Put your helmet on and off you go!
Finally, complete your trip with a visit to the Bobcafé to celebrate the experience and your bobsled certificate in style.
In the summer months, a trip down the Olympic bobsled run is also possible on the asphalt track. This unique experience is offered to groups of 16 people or more from May until October, while in July and August the summer bobsled will also be open to individuals three times a week.
