High up in the trees, the six tree houses (known as the tree hotel) dominate the landscape as they “hover” on stilts around ten meters above the ground. Guests have to climb up 72 steps to reach the cozily furnished tree chalets, consisting of a kitchenette, dining area, bedroom, shower and toilet. They’re situated at the heart of the Treetop Path Natural Experience Park, which snakes through the treetops for a length of 3,280 feet. The main highlight is the experience tower standing 130 feet tall. It’s well worth a visit given the breathtaking view once you reach the top.
A vast playground will make little ones’ hearts leap for joy. Right next to the playground, at the heart of the forest, you’ll find the tree hotel’s restaurant, Waldgasthof Oachkatzl, where guests are served breakfast and dinner, but are also welcome to pop in to rest, recuperate and recharge their batteries. The dishes you can expect to be served include regional delicacies from Sauwald – they’re simply delicious! A must for guests is the assortment of Innviertel dumplings, all served on one plate with sauerkraut and Sauwald apples. After spending an exciting day in the treetops, why not unwind in the tree hotel’s sauna? In summer, guests staying in the treetops can make the most of various packages, including guided night hikes, a romantic dinner or sensual massages for both him and her. Winter, meanwhile, means enchanting night hikes with snow boots and torches.
