    About

Opened in 1892, the Hotel Bristol is so iconically Viennese that it almost counts as a landmark itself. It was one of Vienna’s true luxury hotels during the height of the Austrian-Hungarian Monarchy, and still exudes the magnificence of Vienna’s heyday. Kings, presidents, artists, and celebrities have called the Hotel Bristol home and enjoyed its regal atmosphere. Located just next to the Vienna State Opera and the grand Ringstraße boulevard and dubbed “the hotel at the opera”, the Bristol offers all the refinement, special access, and glamour this entails.

    Concierge Recommendation

Get your private opera box at the Hotel Bristol vis-à-vis the Vienna State Opera: From April to June and in September, book an opera-facing room and watch live broadcasts on a large video screen from your room's balcony.

"Came to Vienna to view Christmas markets and found the Bristol to be centrally located within walking distance to many markets. With an underground station and the light rail at your doorstep, any sights you wish to see are easily accessible. The hotel itself offers seamless, top-quality service and I would strongly recommend staying here on your future Vienna excursions."
